Jackie Gibson-Jacobowitz, LMHC, MCAP, CBHCMS

OCP provides services under the direction of Jackie Gibson, LMHC, MCAP with 24 years of experience of treating substance abuse and specializing in Trauma Therapy.  Jackie and her experienced staff understand addiction and the co-occurrence of emotional issues underlying substance abuse. Jackie Gibson is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Master’s Certified Addictions Professional. As a Qualified Supervisor for the State of Florida, Jackie supervises master’s level clinicians throughout the state for licensure requirements.


Rene Seuntjens, LCSW

Rene Seuntjens, LSCW has been with OCP since they opened their doors to the community of Marion County in 2013.  Rene has over 15 years of experience working with children and adolescents that have been abused both sexually and physically. Rene graduated from Florida State University with her Master’s in Social Work.  She has been in the field of social work with Marion County Public Schools for over 19 years.


David Moss, LMHC

David Moss, LMHC has worked in the mental health field for many years and specializes in trauma and addiction as well as sexual dependency. David is a Christian based counselor that also enjoys working with couples and families.


Ashley Young, RLMHCI, MA

Ashley Young, Mental Health Counselor, Registered Intern has worked with children and families for 6 years as an adoption case manager and practices mental health and substance abuse counseling with a focus on anxiety and relationships. Ashley is very attuned to working with children and adolescents and within the family system. Ashley is also Certified in Mindfulness for Kids & Teens. She specializes in Mindfulness Interventions for ADHD, Axiety, Trauma, and Emotional Regulation.

Matthew Merchant, MA

Matthew Merchant, MA works for OCP in multiple areas of specialty that include counseling in anger management, substance abuse, and mental health. Matthew works predominantly with adolescents and young adults but also works with adults. Matthew specializes in Industrial/Organizational psychology as well and utilizes these skills in all aspects of his work with an approach of CBT in all his work.


Jason Jacobowitz, RLMHCI, MA

Jason Jacobowitz, Mental Health Counselor, Registered Intern has worked with OCP since we opened our doors and specializes in mental health, substance abuse and anger management counseling with young adults and adolescents. Jason specializes in Motivational Interviewing and Life Skills development.



Dagny Moreno, MA

Dagny is a mental health counselor that completed her Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University. Dagny utilizes CBT, mindfulness, psychoeducation and trauma-focused therapy to address depression, anxiety, life-stressors, family relational issues, substance abuse, and any issue related to past trauma in children, teens, and adults. Dagny takes a person-centered approach so clients can feel empowered to navigate their own healing, change, and solutions.


Cindy Hayes, MA

Cindy received her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling in 2003 and has been providing services as a mental health counselor throughout the community for over 17 years. She has worked with all ages and has a great passion for working with children, teens, parenting, families, and couples.  Cindy uses many therapeutic tools and techniques but specializes in cognitive behavioral and solution-focused therapies, in addition to both anger management and parenting skills. Se works with clients struggling with anger issues, addiction, depression, anxiety, ADD, parenting skills, and more. Cindy believes it is imperative to be genuine yet challenging in her approach to provide a safe environment that also fosters growth and reflection.


Mary Green

Mary Green, RCSWI, MSW 

Mary, Registered Clinical Social Work Intern, has received both her Bachelors and Masters in Social Work degrees from the Florida State University. Mary has worked with young adults and students in the K-12 school system utilizing different modalities including play therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and strengths-based approach. Mary is very active in volunteer work in the community, and she has many years of experience with working with both children and young adults with special needs.


Tracy Dobbins RMFTI

Tracy Dobbins, RMFTI works in multiple areas of specialties to include our Substance Abuse Programs and Marriage and Family Counseling Programs. Tracy specializes in working with couples and relationships.


Kevin Donnelly, BS

Kevin works with children and youth at OCP and in the community. He has many years of experience working in the  behavioral health and Addiction field and is an advocate for youth who are experiencing mental health, behavioral, and/or substance abuse concerns. Utilizing CBT, Kevin brings a gentle, safe, and healthy approach to youth he works with at Ocala Consulting & Prevention.

Jacque Quarles, LMHC Intern

Jacque has been working in the mental health and substance abuse field for over 10 years. Jacque’s specialty has been in the area of trauma. She has a special passion for healing the impacts of cultural/ethnic/religious/sexuality/transgender traumas. She holds a Masters in Mental health counseling and behavioral medicine from Boston University School of Medicine. Jacque uses evidence-based practices such as DBT, CBT, narrative therapy, and expressive therapies in her practice.  Jacque’s desire is to provide a safe and respected place for all people from all walks of life.

Morgan Bouck, Clinical Rehabilitation Counselor

Morgan received a bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation and Disability Studies and a master’s degree in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling from Auburn University. Morgan has worked with individual’s dealing with psychiatric, developmental, cognitive, emotional, and physical challenges for over 6 years. Morgan takes a person-centered approach when working with clients who face challenges with disability and chronic illness and the special circumstances they may face.


Vinessa W. Bufford, MS

Vinessa received her Master of Science degree in Counseling and Human Development from Troy University, in May 1991. She has worked with adults, adolescent, and children. Vinessa has over 25 years of experience as a clinician, and 16 years as supervisor in her mental health career.  She has worked with hundreds of individuals and groups in the areas of bipolar disorders, depressive disorders, anxiety disorders and substances use disorders. Vinessa also has worked with individuals in life balance, character development, personal empowerment, self-esteem improvement, grief and loss, empty nesting, and relationships.


Cheryl Burrall, Registered LMHC Intern

Cheryl specializes in working with the Geriatric Population, Children/Adolescents with ADHD, Anxiety & Depression, and Unresolved Trauma Utilizing Art Expression Therapy, CBT, Client Centered, Play Therapy, Power of Positivity, and Building Healthy Self Esteem.


Yvonne Morales, MA

Yvonne Morales, BA, specializes in children and adolescents within the school system and in the community as well as provides Targeted Case Management for OCP clients. Yvonne specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapies in conjunction with mental health coping skill building.

Desiree Reed

Desiree Reed, RMHCI, MA

Desiree is a Mental Health Counselor, Registered Intern and has worked with children, families, and adults in mental health and substance abuse for 9 years. Desiree is very attuned to working with children and adolescents and within the family system. Desiree is also Certified in trauma focused care for Kids & Teens. She specializes in DBT, CBT, EFT, TFT, and expressive therapies.


Teresa Armato, MS 

Teresa earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. She has been working with troubled adolescents and young adults for the past 8 years. She specializes in PTSD, depression, anxiety, and criminal rehabilitation. Teresa uses a client-centered approach in therapy. She also incorporates CBT, DBT, and ACT into her therapeutic interventions. Teresa promotes client individuality by serving each client with unique treatment plans that cater to the client’s strengths. She uses a strength-based approach to encourage client autonomy and healing.

Melissa Henriques, MS

Melissa received her BA in Psychology at St. Leo University and her MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Capella University. She has worked in the mental health, substance abuse and case management fields for 7 years. Melissa has a passion for guiding people through their healing journey with motivational interviewing and CBT techniques.

Carole Whitfield

Carole Whitfield, MS

Carole is a Mental Health Counselor that received her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services in 2012 and Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling in 2015 from Springfield College. For the last 7 years she has worked with At- risk families, children and adults within the community with an empathetic and compassionate approach.  Carole works in  multiple areas including children's behavioral, anger management skill building and marriage and family counseling.


Jennifer Lambo, MS

Jennifer is a Mental Health Counselor that received her Bachelor’s degree in Human Services from Springfield College in 2012 and her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Springfield College in 2015.
Jennifer works with Families, Children, Teens and Adults with a compassionate approach. Her education and training includes, but is not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, Trauma  Based Therapeutic Services, Psycho-educational Therapy, Supportive Therapy and Client Centered Therapy. Finally, she is a Certified Accelerated Resolution Therapy Therapist.

Cheryl specializes in clinical mental health and addictions. Cheryl practices CBT and trauma focused/narrative therapy and has been in practice for over 15 years. As a therapist, Cheryl believes it is important to feel safe and comfortable and her goal is to build meaningful therapeutic relationships to help clients discover their true selves, learn the tools to thrive, and ultimately lead a happy and fulfilling life.



Sheryl Gulick

Sheryl Gulick is OCP's Practice Manager and assists OCP clinicians, administrative staff and community organizations in coordination of care.  Sheryl is an Insurance Billing Specialist and is passionate about delivering effective and timely services for clients.

Sue Ellen serves in OCP's Clinical Administration department and brings her warmth and vast knowledge of recovery and healing to OCP. Sue Ellen has been in the healing field for years and has a passion for serving our community.

Sharon Tucker is OCP's Administrative assistant and has passion for all our clients seeking care. Sharon has worked in the mental health field for many years and excels at her unique skill in helping clients be comfortable and safe in the counseling environment.



Michelle Rodriguez

Michelle serves in OCP's Clinical Administration department at our satellite location in Laurel Run Professional Plaza. Michelle has achieved her Bachelors degree in Social Work and enjoys serving our community in her compassionate, informed and passionate desire to foster healing within our community.

Jordan Bernay

Operations & Compliance Manager

Jordan Bernay graduated from St. Thomas University in Miami. Jordan started his career as an elementary school teacher for 5 years before finding his true calling; working with youth and young adults. He has worked with at-risk youth and families for the last 20 plus years. This experience comes through work with the Department of Labor, the Department of Juvenile Justice and Community Based Lead agencies partnering with the Department of Children and Families.  Jordan is a Certified Child Welfare Trainer and specializes in motivational interviewing through empathy and CBT. He also specializes in working with youth and young adults, as well as survivors of Human Trafficking. Jordan specializes in training for identifiers of Human Trafficking, screening of possible survivors, as well as mentoring Human trafficking survivors.
